Our 1-year-old room is a very active and exciting room. In this room your child will become familiar with a daily routine, circle time, outdoor playtime, art activities, science activities, etc.
During this year your child’s development will likely include: becoming able to walk without assistance; following one step directions; matching familiar objects; using a spoon; taking off coats, shoes and socks; referring to themselves by name; imitating adults; helping put things away; making two word statements; naming objects and so much more!
Each day the children play and explore outdoors (weather permitting) and increase their imagination in our atrium area, consisting of centers that promote fine and gross motor skill development, dramatic and imaginary play, science and sensory experiences, and self help skills.
